Longtime Hilton employee fired after sharing mold pictures with union

On October 9th, 2017, longtime Hilton employee Bill Rosario was fired for supposedly failing to report mold to Hilton management.  But he not only told management about the mold—he also shared pictures of mold in the hotel with his union, UNITE HERE Local 878. He was fired only one day before the Anchorage City Assembly was scheduled to vote on new regulations of mold in hotels that included whistleblower protections for employees.

Local channel KTVA covered the story here, and KTUU covered the story here.
